The college was founded by Arya Samaj in 1964. B.D. Arya College as a full-fledged affiliated college came into existence in 1970. Lala Bishamber Dass, a true philanthropist a well- known businessman of Punjab and the owner of B.D.A. Steels was the founder chairman of the college. Now, under the competent Presidetship of Sh. Our is a leading college catering to 107 villages and possesses five buses. We prepare the young ones to meet the global challenges. Besides academic excellence, the college encourages maximum participation of students in sports and extra co-curricular activities. Adult Education, Youth Club, NSS and NCC units of the college remain active throughout the year.
As a part of our extension service to society, the college offers a number of welfare schemes in collaboration with U.G.C. particularly to the disadvantaged and physically challenged students.
